Even though Lana Del Rey tends to sound overly dramatic at times, her new song Young And Beautiful, a song which she penned for The Great Gatsby, is the most grand song she has released so far. Compared to anything on Born To Die, this is a huge step forward towards her dream of writing music for films, as it’s up there with Adele’s Skyfall. Just enough drama and melancholy, set to an orchestral instrumental - this is Lana like she is supposed to sound like. Truly majestic.
A new song from Disclosure is always an exciting event, especially when it drops right before the weekend: here’s You & Me, the duo’s new single with Eliza Doolittle on vocals - a match that might be a bit strange on paper, but is a pretty perfect combo as soon as you hear it. Disclosure’s debut full-length Settle is out on June 3, just in time for you to learn some dance moves to all songs before they take over your local summer festival.
